The Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council known as the General Data Protection Regulation or GDPR, establishes the rules related to the protection, treatment and free movement of data related to natural persons.

Taking effect on the 25th of May 2018, this regulation covers the institutions in the European Union, as well as those that interact with data of residents of the EU.

The GDPR implementation entails a revision of the companies’ internal processes, to which it is now imposed a set of new obligations and guarantees in the treatment of this type of information. This revision entails an analysis of the different activities, actors, data and existent methodologies in the organisation, both online as well as offline, requiring a perspective with strategic forms, of management, technical and legal.

SOLOS DATA PROTECTION is the guarantee of those forms, a service which comes from our deep knowledge of the digital and technological context which, allied to our experience in different organisations and sectors, is complemented by a partnership of legal advice from the office of Rosário Duarte Advogados.

SOLOS DATA PROTECTION is the solution for companies that search for a fast, practical and precise way to move forward with the GDPR implementation in its processes.

The GDRP implementation, in the scope of our monitoring involves, initially, 4 phases:

PHASE 0 | GDPR IMPLEMENTATION PROPOSAL

Previous collection and analysis of information about the company and the actual data extension/management. It involves a meeting with the Management and/or Administration of the company

PHASE 1 | GDPR CONSULTING

Introduction of the GDRP theme in the company and formation of several departments and employees in this.

This GDRP implementation phase also implies the monitoring and detailing of the actual internal processes of the organisation.

PHASE 2 | GDPR IMPLEMENTATION

After the familiarisation with the internal processes, these are adapted and reviewed to the new context of the General Data Protection Regulation.

PHASE 3 | AUDIT

This phase extends beyond the GDRP implementation and implies an audit and an evaluation (occasionally, annually, etc.) of the compliance of the company regulation obligations.
